New partnership to offer broader access to GIT’s sustainable, graphene-based, biocide free XGIT marine coatings.
June 14, 2023 (Halifax and Vancouver, Canada) – A new partnership has been formed between two Canadian-based marine focused companies. GIT (Graphite Innovation & Technologies), a sustainable coatings company, and Albion Marine Solutions, a well-respected global Marine Project Management & Engineering and Naval Architecture company in the shipping industry, have inked a partnership that we expand the distribution and sales of GIT’s graphene-based, biocide free, hard fouling release hull and propeller coatings in Canada, Asia, and Western Europe. GIT will be the first sustainable coatings company Albion Marine will be representing, expanding its existing Clean Energy & Environment friendly solutions portfolio.
GIT’s is propelling the global marine sector to a green future. Their graphene-based, eco-friendly, sustainable coatings reduce fuel consumption, carbon emissions, dry dock time, as well as underwater noise. GIT’s XGIT hull and propeller coatings offer superior performance and reduced environmental impact, making them an ideal solution for ship owners and operators looking for sustainable, non-toxic, eco-friendly options that support decarbonization while delivering fuel efficiency.
The Director, Technical Services of Albion Marine, Mr. Oleg Zadnipryany, stated “We look forward to offering GIT’s graphene-based smart and sustainable coatings to our clients. With the significant movements happening in our sector regarding green shipping and decarbonization, this partnership will enable our clients to make a significant environmental impact and help them reach their sustainability goals.”
This alignment is another strong step towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future for the marine sector. The new partnership between GIT and the Albion Marine is a collaboration that will enable more maritime transportation companies to contribute to cleaner and healthier oceans, seas, lakes, and waterways across the planet.
According to GIT’s CEO, Mo AlGermozi, “This partnership will see us further expand our reach in key regions around the world. Our mission is to promote eco-friendly, sustainable coatings in the marine sector, and make a positive impact on the plant. Albion Marine is the perfect partner to do this with.”
2023 has been a busy year for GIT. Earlier this year they confirmed contracts with Kotug Canada and Stolt Tankers. They also completed a Series A raise and will be moving into a new, much larger production facility in the Fall. All significant moves to propel their goal of a greener future.
